Arenivaga floridensis
“Florida Sand Roach”
Arenivaga floridensis is quite rare in the hobby as of 7-18-18.
Experienced hobbyists have helped provide information on proper care needs for this genus and that has helped make them more available but they still require more care than most and are for the more experienced hobbyist.
First collected in central Florida. All Florida Arenivaga are classified as A. floridensis, There are a dark variety and a white variety, known as “White” floridensis.
Many believe that “White will be deemed a separate species in the future. Unlike the other Arenivaga, which should be kept mostly dry slight moisture added at intervals, this genus tolerate more moist conditions.
They will grow to about half an inch in length.
