Description
Chinese Medicinal Roaches
Eupolyphaga sinensis
As the name implies, Eupolyphaga sinensis is used in China to treat a variety of illnesses, including cancer and liver disease. The common name for this species is the Chinese Medicinal Roach and sometimes they are called the Turtle Roach because of their shape.
They are fairly easy to grow even though they are relatively rare in The United States. They love fish flakes and carrots. We also feed ours dried Pecan Leaves which they love.
We keep them on damp coconut coir bedding and we have ventilation.
All ages of this species cannot fly or climb making them an ideal feeder insect. They are thick and fat while only growing slightly larger than a quarter when full grown.
You will get 8 live nymphs with this order.
