Rubber Ducky Isopods are a very popular isopod from Thailand. Because of the scarcity of this isopod, any offerings are likely to be very expensive.  We were able to purchase a breeding colony in September 2018.  So far, two babies and they are growing and they are healthy.

They grow slowly and have low birth rates early on.  They do go on to produce moderately as time goes on.

We have found that they love a moist substrate with high air humidity.

They like it on the cooler side so we never allow them to experience temperatures about 70 or below 60 degree F.

They like dried leaves, fish flakes, bee pollen and yeast flakes.
