Description

Blaberus boliviensis

”Bolivian Roach”

The Bolivian roach is one of the smaller Blaberus species being about the size of the more well known, Discoid Roach, B. discoidalis.  As the names portrays, the roach is a native of Bolivia in South America.
What differentiates the Bolivian Roach from the Discoid Roach are the soft brown wings and dark pronotum that sports two distinct red spots.
The Bolivian Roach is an easy genus to care for, feed and breed.
They will hybridize with other Blaberus types like  B. discoidalis and B. atropos and must be kept apart so that your strains do not become tainted.  Selling tainted genetic lines can hurt our hobby so please keep them apart.
Our colony comes from lines that were determined to be pure and we have maintained this, as with all of our roaches, studiously. Adults grow to 1.5″ to 2″ in length.

They Cannot fly or climb.

The pretty much will eat anything but are very fond of orange slices and flake fish food.

They do best for breeding, feeding and growing between 70 and 85 Degrees.  You get 8 Roaches with each order.
